How do I know this fits my car?
Match the FCC ID on the back of your old remote, or the model of your alarm system (on the alarm’s control unit or in its manual), to the one in the specifications on this page. These fit the alarm, not the car, so a VIN can’t tell. Not sure? Send us a photo of your old remote.

Do I need to program it, and how much does that cost?
Yes, to your alarm system. Most alarm remotes learn with the alarm’s valet or program button in a few minutes, no tools, no cost; the steps come in the box. If your system needs it, an installer can program it.
Will my old keys still work?
Program all your remotes in the same session. Most alarm systems forget any remote that isn’t programmed along with the new one.
What if it doesn’t work with my car?

About this part
This is a brand remote made by Directed Electronics - Avital. In order to program the system in your car to accept the remote, you need to state what you are using the 7143L to replace, meaning give us the RPN on your old remote so we give you the correct instructions. If you don?? have the old remote to read the RPN, then by giving us the Brand and Model name of the system (located under your dash,) we can determine the correct instructions that way.
Compatibility:
Avital 7143L is compatible with the following systems: Automate 410A, 425A, 435A, 552A, 553A, AM2, AM5, AM6, AM7, AM9, Avital 21000, 2200, 4000, 4100, 4200, 4300, 4400, Python 440 HP, 460 HP, 660 XP, Sidewinder 381S, 3200 HS, 3300 HS, 5500 XS, Valet 554T, 562T, 561R, 563T, 712T, 716T, Hornet 740, 742, Rattler 110D, 210D, 310D, 369D, Viper 210 HV, 350 HV, 650 XV, 850 XV.
The RPN 7143L remote can be used to replace 474V, 474T, 474L, 474P. Those would be the Viper, Valet, Avital, and Python Versions of the same remote. There is also the 3 button group of remotes 473T, 473S, 473P, 473V, 473L, 7133L which can also be replaced by this 474A. Also the 2 button remotes with RPN 471T and 471C are replaceable using the 7143L.
The remote comes with the battery already inside and free programming instructions are included. The FCC ID on this remote is EZSDEI474V but depending on the brand of your old remote, it could be EZSDEI474P or EZSDEI474S. This is a 433-434 MHz remote with 4 buttons and a green LED.
Please Note: The replacement remote shown on this page may not look exactly as your existing remote does, but is compatible with any DEI remote that has a flashing green light and ends with a FCC# EZSDEI 470, 471, 474, 475, 476 or 485. Some older key fob transmitter remote original cases may also have the following:
