  2. You program it yourself, at the car. No tools and no appointment: the steps come in the box and are on this page under “How to program it”. It usually takes a few minutes. Have every key you want to keep working with you.
  3. Done. Still stuck? We help. Call 386-586-3650 or email help@remotesandkeys.com. If it won’t work with your car you have 30 days to return it.

Questions before you buy

How do I know this fits my car?

Look at the back of your current regular remote, or inside the battery cover. If the part number or the FCC ID printed there matches the one in the specifications on this page, it’s the right part.

Lost your key, or can’t read it? Type your VIN when you order and we check it before we ship. Your VIN is on your registration, insurance card, or the driver-side bottom of the windshield.

Which condition should I choose?

All conditions do the same job in your car: same buttons, programmed the same way. The difference is how it looks and what it costs.

  • OEM New: a genuine factory part from the car maker, never used. The same as the dealer’s, usually for less.
  • OEM Refurbished: genuine part, restored and tested by a locksmith, with a new battery. Works and programs just like OEM new. Comes in a logo case when we have one, otherwise a new case without the logo.
Do I need to program it, and how much does that cost?

Yes, and you do it yourself at the car in a few minutes: a short sequence of key turns and button presses, no tool. The steps come in the box. No cost.

Will my old keys still work?

Bring every key you want to keep using when the new one is programmed. On many cars programming clears any key that isn’t there at the time.

What if it doesn’t work with my car?

Call us first. Most problems are solved on the phone. If the part doesn’t fit or won’t program to your car, you can return it within 30 days. See our return policy.

How fast will I get it?

In-stock orders placed by 3 pm ET on a business day ship the same day from New Jersey, with tracking. Shipping options and prices are shown at checkout before you pay.

How to program it: Programming Procedure #630
  1. Begin with keys out of ignition.
  2. Close all doors.
  3. Open driver side door and leave open.
  4. Perform the following steps within 24 seconds:
    1. Insert key in ignition
    2. Turn key to On and Off
    3. Repeat step b two more times
    4. Remove key from ignition.
    5. Push driver door frame button three times (black rubber button located on driver door frame that tells the vehicle whether of not door is closed, similar to your refrigerator door button)
  5. The doors should automatically lock and unlock at this point signaling that the vehicle is now in programming mode. If not, wait 40 seconds and return to Step 4.
  6. All transmitters need to be programmed at this time, including the old ones. Push any button on a transmitter two times. The door lock actuators should lock then unlock or a chime should sound at this point signaling that the vehicle has accepted the new transmitter code.
    1. If there is only one transmitter, press any button on the same transmitter twice until the door lock actuators lock then unlock or a chime sounds. Repeat this step one last time with the same transmitter for a total of three programmings.
    2. If there are two transmitters, press any button on the second transmitter twice until the door lock actuators lock then unlock or a chime sounds. Repeat this step one last time with the second transmitter for a total of three programmings.
    3. If there are three transmitters, press any button on the second and third transmitters twice (one after another) until the door lock actuators lock then unlock or a chime has sounded for each of the three transmitters.
  7. Close the door and test each remote. If one or more remote is not working, repeat the programming procedures.
Troubleshooting:
    1. If you do not get into programming mode in step 5 start over from step 1 but do not remove key in step 4d.
    2. If you don’t have the driver door frame button then instead of pressing the button just open and close the door three times.
