The rubber cover is for the protection of the remote. Key fob is not included. Please compare this silicone key cover with your car key before purchase. It will prevent the remote from taking damage from normal abuse (dropping, rubbing, scratching, etc...) It is not a permanent solution for re-attaching a broken remote to your keychain.
We still recommend you to follow these simple rules:
- Protect the keys from direct sunlight, high temperature, and high humidity.
- Do not drop the keys or set heavy objects on them.

As expensive as the key fobs are I want to protect it as much as possible. The silicone cover fits good. Time will tell how long it lasts.
