We test the remote on keyless entry testers to ensure it works before sending it to you.  The remote includes programming instructions to make it work with your car.  We have free tech support if needed.

Remote For Lexus:

This is a replacement for the Factory Keyless Remote of 1995 - 1997 Lexus LS400; 1996 - 1997 Lexus SC300, 1996 - 1997 Lexus SC400.  The FCC ID is HYQWDT-C and the Lexus part number is 89742-50510.

Programming Procedure:

1. Start with the following conditions: Key is out of the ignition, Driver door is OPEN (all other doors are closed), Driver door is unlocked.
2. Insert the key into the ignition (don?? turn it) and pull it out.
3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Using the power lock/unlock switch on the driver?? door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. A lock/unlock cycle consists of pressing the power lock switch, followed by pressing the power unlock switch on the driver?? door panel. Use an even pace and try to go relatively fast. b. Close then open the driver?? door.
4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Perform 5 lock/unlock cycles again with the switch on the driver?? door starting with lock. b. Insert the key in the ignition cylinder. Turn the ignition to ON (as far as you can go without cranking your engine) then back to OFF two times. c. Remove the key from the ignition. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should cycle (lock then unlock) automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to Step 1 if the locks do not cycle at this point.

5. Perform these steps within 40 seconds: a. Press any button on the first remote for 1 second and release. Within 3 seconds the door locks should cycle once. If door locks do not cycle then repeat this step because your remote has not been accepted.
b. Close then open the door once. c. Press any button on the same remote for 1 second and release. Within 3 seconds the door
locks should cycle to indicate successful programming. If they do not cycle or they cycle twice then your remote has not been accepted. d. If programming additional remotes (including existing remotes which must be programmed at this time) then repeat steps 5a-c for each remote (within 40 seconds of previous remote.)
6. Close the driver?? door.
