Remote Procedure:

  • For 2012-2013 CR-V, 2011-2015 CR-Z, 2010-2012 Crosstour, 2009-2013 Fit:

Since your vehicle is not onboard programmable, you will need a dealer or automotive locksmith to program the vehicle to accept the replacement remote. Please use an automotive locksmith rather than the dealer. You are likely to get a better service for a more reasonable price. Locksmiths make their prices based on their local market as well as the cost of the equipment used for your programming. Locksmith equipment for vehicle programming is very expensive and most of the charge is to compensate them for their initial equipment investment. An automotive locksmith will program your new remotes or keys by hooking up an expensive scan tool to your vehicle?? computer and making the vehicle learn the new remotes or keys.

  • For 2008-2012 Accord 2Dr, 2007-2011 CR-V, 2010-2014 Insight:

2. Perform these steps within 5 seconds.
a. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
b. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote and release.
c. Turn the ignition back to LOCK (the position where the key is inserted) and leave the key in the ignition.
d. Turn the ignition to the ON position (where the instrument panel lights are turned on without starting the engine.)
