Programming Procedure #Pf2

As many as 16 keys can be programmed into the computer for a vehicle equipped with PATS. The system will ignore attempts to enter a 17th code.
  1. Place the first already programmed key in the keyway. Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON(RUN) for 1 second and then remove.
  2. Within 5 seconds, insert the new, properly cut PATS key in the ignition. Turn the key to ON(RUN). The theft indicator light will go on for two seconds, after which the key will start the vehicle.
  3. Repeat this procedure for each key to be programmed.
