Using a suitable jumper wire, connect the jumper between terminal 12 and terminal 16 of the Diagnostic Connector (see diagram) located in the engine compartment adjacent to the battery. It usually has a plastic dust cover over it. It can either be mounted right side up like the diagram or upside down. Hold the diagram to match how it is mounted in your vehicle.
Turn ignition to the ON position.
Press the LOCK button on the first remote twice.
If you have a second remote press LOCK twice.
Turn the ignition to OFF position and take the key out.
Disconnect the jumper wire from diagnostic connector.
Test remote(s).
