Driver Information Center (DIC)
Your Driver Information Center (DIC) may provide you the ability to match transmitters to your vehicle yourself. Perform the following steps:
- Turn the ignition on and place the vehicle in PARK (P). To avoid excessive drain on the battery, it is recommended that the headlamps are turned off.
- If your vehicle has DIC buttons, press the Vehicle Information button to see if the "PRESS √ TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY" menu item is displayed on your DIC. If your vehicle does not have DIC buttons, press the trip odometer reset stem located on the instrument panel cluster to see if the "RELEARN REMOTE KEY" menu item is displayed on your DIC.
- After RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays, if your vehicle has DIC buttons, press and hold the Set/Reset button, if your vehicle does not have DIC buttons, press and hold the trip odometer reset stem until REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE is displayed.
- Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter at the same time for about 15 seconds. (On some Cadillac’s, you (must then press and release the trunk button. On vehicles with memory seats, the first transmitter matched will match driver 1 and the second will match driver 2. A chime will sound indicating that the transmitter is matched.
- To match additional transmitters at this time, repeat Step 4. Each vehicle can have a maximum of four transmitters matched to it.
- To exit the programming mode, you must cycle the ignition key to LOCK.
