1. Insert key into ignition and turn to ON position (do not crank engine).
  2. Locate the Vehicle Access Code (VAC) Connector adjacent to the keyless entry module in the trunk. It is a green plastic connector with one black/white wire leading up to it. The connector is not plugged into anything.
  3. The programming connector should have one terminal. Ground this terminal to the trunk hatch or antenna. The door locks will cycle (automatically lock and unlock) to indicate you have entered programming mode. Make sure the connector stays grounded throughout the procedure.
  4. Press the UNLOCK button on the remote once. The door locks will cycle. The new remote has been programmed and previous codes have been erased. If only one remote is used then press the UNLOCK button on it again and the door locks will cycle and skip step 5.
  5. If a second remote is to be programmed then press the UNLOCK button on it. The door locks will cycle.
  6. Remove ground of programming connector.
